CA Gold competitive teams (ages 10U-14U) are instructed by experienced and knowledgeable coaches whose focus is the improvement of our individual players, not simply winning championships. We aim to prepare players for the next level of their basketball careers while also teaching them life lessons that will lead to success off the court as well. We enter events to be competitive and win, but more importantly to evaluate areas for development.
We hold tryouts and from those tryouts the coaches invite players to compete on our competitive teams if they feel they are ready to compete in club level events. Teams are formed when we have enough players in a specific age group and those players are competition ready. All other athletes will be able to continue to develop in our skill development clinics on Mondays. Our goal is to develop athletes enough to eventually invite them to play on one of our club teams.

CA Gold is a highly competitive high school program led by a staff of some of the best varsity head coaches around. We have earned a Nike EYBL invitation for our 15U team. Our non-EYBL high school teams are independent and have partnered with Made Hoops and Elite Hoops Association to play on the most competitive independent circuit with the most exposure on the west coast. Our goal is to develop our athletes into the next level of their career. This might mean help them make varsity at their high school or help them gain college exposure and play at the next level.
Our staff holds rolling evaluations to build our highly selective and competitive teams. CA Gold will only select enough athletes for seven high level teams for the spring and summer. The rolling tryouts give our staff multiple opportunities to evaluate all athletes and build our rosters.
